Terms of Service — Qiksy

In one line: you buy a licence for our software with a single payment, for the term shown at checkout — a year, or a single month where a month is offered. We keep it working as described, payments are handled securely, and a licence sold as a subscription renews until you stop it — one press, from inside the product or from the link in your purchase email.

1. Who we are

“Qiksy” products (the Qiksy QA Copilot browser extension, the Qiksy Assist support widget, and related services at qiksy.app) are operated by Dmytro Liesniak, sole proprietor (ФОП), Ukraine. Contact: [email protected].

2. What you're buying

Each product's current features and prices are shown on its page at checkout. Trials, when offered, are free and end automatically — a trial never converts to a charge on its own.

3. Payments, billing & taxes

Who takes the payment depends on where you are, and the checkout tells you before you pay. In Ukraine the card is processed by plata by mono (monobank), our acquiring bank, the seller of record isФОП Лєсняк Д. В. (Ukraine), and the charge appears on your statement as Qiksy. Everywhere else the sale is handled by Freemius, Inc. as the merchant of record— your contract of sale for the licence is with them, they collect and remit any VAT or sales tax, and the charge appears on your statement as FREEMIUS* LEGATO, not as our name. In both cases card details are entered on the processor's own secure page: we never see or store them.

We remain the maker of the software either way. The licence, the updates and the support come from us —ФОП Лєсняк Д. В., [email protected] — so a problem with the product is ours to fix, whoever took the money.

Prices are listed in USD. As a Ukrainian business we settle in hryvnia (₴), so at the card step you will see the equivalent ₴ amount at the bank's rate; your own bank charges you the listed USD amount in your currency.

A subscription renews until you stop it. The checkout states the term and the renewal price before you pay, and you are emailed before every renewal — never only after the charge. Stopping it is one press, from inside the product or from the link in your purchase email; it prevents the next charge and leaves the term you have already paid for running to its end. Where a licence is sold as a single payment for one fixed term instead, nothing repeats: when the term ends the licence simply stops and you choose whether to buy another one. Either way we email you before the date, so nothing about your money happens silently.

5. Acceptable use

We may suspend service for abuse (spam, fraud, illegal content), normally after a warning where practical.

6. Your data

How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy. For Qiksy Assist, messages your visitors send through the widget are delivered to your channels (e.g. your Telegram); we host only what's needed to run the service.

6a. The shared widget memory (Qiksy Jig)

Jig learns how to drive controls it has not met before. What it learns is kept on your machine and speeds up your own work there. It is offered to other Jig users only when all three of the following are true, and you can verify each of them:

What travels is the markup fingerprint (tag, ARIA role, class names) and the steps for driving that control. Never the address of the page, never the values typed into it, never its text or your test data. An administrator can switch sharing off for an entire organisation with JIG_NO_SHARE=1 or a policy.json file, and then the setting is shown disabled and does nothing.

7. Service quality & changes

We work to keep the products reliable, secure and improving; we may update features over time without materially reducing what you paid for during your active period. Hosted components target high availability but, like any online service, are provided without an uptime guarantee unless separately agreed.

8. Disclaimer & liability

The products are provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a product is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Legato: names the browser supplies

Legato exists because pages are unlabelled. When a control on a page has no name, the browser works one out — from the page's own markup, from a repair someone else's browser worked out before, or from AI — and the screen reader then speaks that name. That name is our work, not the page's. It can be wrong, and a wrong name on a button that deletes, submits, uploads or signs you out can lead to an action you did not intend.

We do not ask you to take that on trust, and we do not hide it. The browser tells you which names are its own:

So: when an action is irreversible or consequential, check the name before you act. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for what follows from acting on a name the browser supplied and marked as its own. This does not limit the mandatory rights you have as a consumer where you live, and it does not apply to names the page itself provides — those we pass through untouched.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence still apply where relevant.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update this page and its date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
