Used auto parts and salvage yard inventory on your phone

At a salvage yard the question is always the same: do we have it, where is it, and did that car pay for itself. Shelf links every part to its donor car, reads the OEM number from the part, keeps the rack and shelf in the record, and shows what each car brought in against what it cost.

What you get

  1. A donor car for every part, added with a photo of the VIN plate or the registration document.
  2. The camera reads the OEM number printed on the part and ignores seller stock codes.
  3. Search by words or by part number, spaces and dashes ignored.
  4. A "Where it lies" field (rack 3, shelf 2) shows up right in search.
  5. For each donor car: its parts, what is left, and what they sold for against what the car cost.
  6. Send to a client: the part photo, price and number go to a buyer in a messenger.

Questions and answers

Does the camera always read the VIN?

It takes the VIN only when every character is sharp. If the photo is blurry it asks again rather than guess, and you can type it in.

Can I find a part by its number?

Yes. Search works by words and by part number, and spaces or dashes in the number do not matter.

Can I see if a car paid off?

Yes. Each donor car shows its parts, what is still in stock, and what the sold parts brought in against what the car cost.

Can I import my current parts list?

Yes, from Excel or CSV. You can export to Excel at any time.
